Frankly, this is B.S. We cannot allow the president to get away with such blatant attacks on the constitutional rights our ancestors fought for. These un-warranted taps are a direct violation of our fourth amendment rights, the fourth amendment reads like this:

Now if it's so blatant that we need to tap their phones, a warrant should not be hard to obtain, no one is out there trying to obstruct the law enforcement community from catching terrorists, but this must be done within the law, and unwarranted, unreasonable tapping of telephones is clearly outside constitutional law.
What is truly disturbing is that the president, after being called on this, admitted it, and admitted that he would continue to do it indefinitely. This is wrong, he should not be allowed to stand there and tell us that our freedoms will remain intact, while taking them away behind our backs.

The recent minuteman project in Tucson, Arizona has spurred the classic debate about immigration, and what should be done about it. Now first off, you should be aware that i refer to illegal immigrants as, well, illegal immigrants. Now that may be shocking to some of you, but of course, the politically correct stormtroopers care more about illegal's self esteem than about using the correct terms.

But anyway, here's my whole position on the matter of illegals, i say they should try to come here legally, if that doesn't work, then we deport them. It should not be the American public's problem to support them if they refuse to get citizenship and get a job, or just get a job.

And certainly, if we're not going to deport them because they're breaking a law just by being here, they should absolutely be deported if they commit ANY crime, and i'm not talking about only felonies, misdemeanor's get them deported too, we have too little jail space as it is, we can't be the dumping place for other nations' trash.

Now of course, this isn't racist, but mexico really has to help us out here, i mean jeez, Fox ENCOURAGES people to go into America illegally, we need more support from a nation that we protect free of charge, and then dumps its human trash here.

Ah yes, the tolerant left strikes again. Interesting how they only want their opinions heard, not those that dissent. Sounds like a dictator to me. But anyway, what ever happened to diversity? To the freedom of speech? Even when your speech is controversial and not well liked, it's still protected. Of course, the guy that threw the salad dressing is only up for a misdemeanor, Buchanan didn't press the felony charge, guess who wants diversity now?

Funny thing, I don't remember the part of the first amendment that says your speech is protected only if you have a liberal point of view.

I think Buchanan's reaction to this was quite interesting, not pushing the felony charge. Maybe it's because it was salad dressing, but maybe he's the one that really wants diversity.

It says he was talking about immigration, always a hot-button issue for rich white kids, who by age 19 have learned all there is to know about the issues enough to douse an opposing viewpoint with ranch dressing.

Lately we've been learning much from this newest tragedy in the chapter of school violence, Red Lake. As I expected, the media doesn't look for deeper causes of this, they found a scapegoat, perhaps it would get them more publicity by calling for boycotts of spiked hair and dark clothes than actually addressing the problems this young man faced. It would seem from the testimony of his classmates, the kid was somewhat of a goth, the typical profile you'd see from the media, spiked hair, dark clothes, seemed depressed. This is of course, blaming the symptoms (bad choice of words?) for the illness. No one seems to be interested in finding exactly what caused this, (could it be that his dad is dead and that his mom is severely handicapped?) Funny how we never hear of violence by the school quarterback, god knows there's alot of it, but somehow, our brilliant media know that the kid in the back of the class, being beat up by those stronger than him going nuts is better news than the constant crap those same people put up with every day. Let me finish my post by quoting Greg Gaffin from his essay available on www.badreligion.com:

And another thing, how is being fat a disease? But this is silly, obesity? Why not have a laugh over it? I think these people are blowing it WAY out of proportion, I mean, who cares? If you're offended, don't watch it, boycott it, that's the American way, if you don't like it, don't support it. Now they have a right to think it's offensive, but if they start suing because this is "insensitive" or something, then they've crossed the line, the point here is that there's never going to be a utopia, people are always going to be offended and you people should just get over it.

And we're worried about test scores? Now there are two possibilities, this could merely be a scare story used to boost their ratings, but it could also be legitimate. It seems plausible that they could still be using old chemicals from decades gone by, but my question is: Why can they not control who gets access to them? I mean, if they can keep students out of other parts of the school, (ex, the principal's office when locked) why can they not just lock up their "dangerous chemicals"? It seems silly to demand government money to clean up something you could just fix by putting a $5 dollar lock on the door. But no, of course since there's the slightest risk someone MAY get hurt, we have to spend millions of dollars to keep it "safe" They also said that these chemicals could be used in a bomb, now keep in mind I'm no expert on bombs, but I believe the ingredients for many bombs can be bought at a hardware store, so do you want to lock up lighter fluid as well? The bottom line is that it seems silly to demand government money for a project that could be fixed with a masterlock padlock.

I must say, this is one of the more insane stories I've read lately. We all have good intentions, to keep kids from killing people, but these people are way off base. They actually think that Grand Theft Auto (GTA) compelled this kid to gun down three cops? Let me tell you, games cannot give the will to kill, only human behavior can do that. Let's look a little deeper shall we? As I watched this story unfold, I noticed that the kid came from a broken family, that should've set off alarms right away, but the reporters merely rattled it off in a string of facts about Moore. So basically he has no dad at home, am I the only one seeing the problem here? He also bounces around between his mother's home and foster homes. Come on! Anyone in their right mind cannot believe that GTA gave this kid the will to kill. It may have showed him HOW to kill, but you can do that by watching basic cable. (or if you watch CBS, the station that showed this story, they have some pretty gruesome accounts of murder also, CSI and all its spinoffs) It's natural to blame the game because a kid murdered some cops, but is it the core of the problem? No, I believe the real problem lies in the question, where's the kid's dad? Would this have happened if he had had a role model besides 50 cent in his life? I believe it would not have. If you're going to go after video games, how about music? Plenty of rap music advocates violence, and movies! Lots of violent movies out there! Better call the thought police.

I have one thing to say, come on! Are you kidding me? Someone actually said that there might be inherent differences between men and women? Why that's the 7th deadly sin! Time after time studies prove that there are differences between men and women, it's not an "oppressive society" it's just the way it is. All he said was that there are fewer women in engineering (fact) and that it might have something to do with the (fact) that generally women score lower in the math portions of standardized testing. So I'm completely stumped as to why people are so hyped up about this. Here's a quote from Nancy Hopkins, professor of biology at MIT: "I just couldnt' breathe, this kind of bias makes me physically ill." Come on! Bias?! What bias? As I've just been through, he stated nothing but facts. After three apologies the president is STILL unable to get the feminazis off his back. Everyone needs to be a victim, if anything is working against you, it must be because of the evil right wing and it's not MY fault! How about we treat everyone equally instead of giving minorites (affirmative action) and women (who aren't even a minority) special treatment? It's insane to think that ALL women are bad at math, but that's not what he said, it's also crazy to think that all men are bad at english or something to that extent. (I'm living proof of that) My point is that it's crazy to go after this guy, quit playing the victim and go prove him wrong if you resent what he said so much! After hearing an activist student say this "It's hard enough to be a woman in this country...we don't need him putting up another barrier" Jon Stewart had this to say: "Yes, just another barrier you'll face as a Harvard graduate." It's a little off the politics subject, but it does make social points.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank gangsta rap for doing so much good to society. The way you desensitize children to the suffering of the weak is inspiring. How would we ever get by if you had not come along and reduced the value of a life to the money it takes to buy the bullet? I would also like to thank them for devaluing women, gays and anyone that's different than them. Thank you gangsta rap, you have inspired many young lives to be more socially conscious, to care more about the world around them, to make a difference. Of course you would never attempt to change my generation into unthinking thugs, (by the way, thug is bad). Apparently you thought you'd do a little more good by making thousands of suburban kids actually WANT to live in a slum and deal drugs. As I sit here, the school has lowered the graduation requirements for social studies classes, while raising the math and science requirements. Now most people see this as a step forward, as do I, but they don't see the two steps back we're taking. As I thought about it more and more, and after reading a book review about a book called "Why Read?" It became increasingly obvious that there was only one reason to raise the math and science requirements, the world needs more engineers and architects! That is the entire purpose of us going to school, to make more of what the world needs, if the world needs more stockbrokers, you can bet that the economics requirements go up. What ever happened to "you can be whatever you want to be!"? apparently they don't care so much about what YOU want to be, as much as they care about what they need. And what would be their gain in teaching us to be whatever we want to be? The economy needs it! That is the only reason, to make more eco-fodder. And if they cut back the social studies requirements, the politicians get exactly what they want: an uninformed, easily impressionable public, each with a vote. And that's how I shall leave you.

I recently saw a story on the internet about some research that said that genetics may cause obesity in children. Of course, they stated that children of obese mothers are more likely to be obese. They just disproved their own theory. Ok, what ACTUALLY causes obesity? Bad eating and not exercising enough (there may be other causes, but those are the main ones) Ok, if you're obese, it's pretty safe to say that you're not exercising enough and not eating the right foods, if you're a mother, then you (usually) live in the same house as your children. And that means that they'll get the same view of the refridgerator as you do, thus they'll eat (mostly) the same foods as you.

Kids look up to their parents, if they see their parents sitting around, then they'll sit around.

I also saw a story about how they're considering banning "unhealthy" food ads from kid-oriented TV shows. Ok, i'm not even going to start on the obvious 1st amendment violations here. But why does the government think that they can stop kids from getting obese? Why do they have to be the parent here? It's about personal responsibility, something that is long gone from our culture, we're a reactionary culture, "if i'm fat, it's not my fault, it must be genetics" it's nothing more than a cop-out.

To mend ties with Europe? Who needs to do that? They've already proven to be completely worthless as allies. Basically that says that the Russian president Vladimir Putin says that Iran has no intentions to build nuclear weapons. I smell the distinct odor of b.s.

First of all, here's a quote from the story: "Moscow has helped Iran build a nuclear reactor..." I wonder how Putin plans to explain that one. I honestly believe that Putin could very well become the world's next dictator, he's got all he needs, plenty of weapons and propaganda.

If in fact, Putin actually believes Iran, then I wonder how he would rationalize the Syrian-Iranian treaty that I talked about yesterday. They agreed to that alliance to "defend themselves against America" What are they going to use to "defend" themselves if not nuclear weapons?

Putin already is getting rid of laws and stifling political opponents, I think this problem may be more than we see on the surface, could it be that Russia joins Iran? I don't know and you don't know, but I sure am looking at Russia in a different light though.

Iran and Syria joining forces, of course, no one was really surprised since everyone knows that Syria is a puppet for Iran. Of course, it's a puppet with nukes, thus making it a threatening puppet. And why shouldn't they be in an alliance against us? Jesus said "They'll hate you, but they hated me first."

Oh my gosh, a radical idea, could it be that Iran and Syria see the U.S. as a threat to their oil business?

It was posed today that the logical thing to do is attack Iran, of course this idea was posed by a liberal, since only liberals can see that as logic. First of all, Iran has nukes, biological weapons and a whole lotta ammunition. It would be insane to attack Iran because when we attacked Iraq, we thought they had WMDs, but not top of the line WMDs, we expected them to be somewhat crude. We know that Iran has the capability to put up a huge fight, especially with Syria on their side.

Our troops are spread thin already, it would be suicidal to attack Iran.

Everyone seems to be freaking out over the idea that there's a treaty between two middle eastern nations. If you think about it logically, we have so many allies if we were to nuke Iran and Syria, we would have many allies, Britain, Poland, and if we could convince Russia, we would have over 10,000 nuclear weapons at our disposal. So my point is, it's not that big of a deal, we're not going to be blown off the face of the earth because two small nations think they can take down freedom.

^The above is a link to the story I'll be talking about today, basically it says that the NHL players couldn't reach an agreement with the owners, which means the fans get screwed and there'll be no season. As a fan of hockey, I'm sad, sad that they're unable to let a free market live.

They were apparently debating the salary cap on the league, the players and owners were separated by about $6.5 million dollars.

Let me first say that I'm not in favor of a salary cap, although it keeps the game fair, I believe it stifles the free market in professional sports, because, if you think about it, that's all they're changing, whether or not to allow teams to pay huge sums of money to their players, or employees, as you see it.

Most people see this as a question of players greed, always wanting more. But I don't see it that way, I think that if you don't think that NHL players should be payed $10 million, pick up a stick and score goals better. I have to side with the players here folks, no salary cap, pay them as they can be paid. It's capitalism if you think about it. Farewell.

As most of you know, there is a professor at the University of Colorado named Ward Churchill that has written an essay in which he compares the victims of 9-11 to nazis, the paper is basically a hippie pot-induced haze gone awry. I have read the essay in it's entirety (boredom, not in school) as it was suggested before I comment on it, and now that I have read it, I know the context and how it was written, and what has been said was not taken out of context.

I watched a program on C-Span with a speech by him with a Q and A segment at the end, which basically meant that his adoring students could worship him in all his glory. It was a sham, not really a Q and A since he only let those that opposed him speak for 3 seconds. When asked for clarification about an answer, he refused. One more thing, he teaches Ethnic Studies while claiming to be a Cherokee Indian, although the Cherokee Nation has denied that he is a Cherokee. The only guideline to join the Cherokee Nation is that you have to have 1 blood relative that was an indian, it doesn't matter how far you go back, if you can find ONE than you can join. Apparently he is unable to find even one relative that is an indian since he is not a part of the Cherokee Nation. So basically, I have some indian blood, it may be cherokee I really don't know, so I could become a member before Churchill could. And considering that that is the entire reason he was hired, perhaps they might want to rethink that.

My opinion on this whole thing is that I think that although what he's written is despicable, he has the right to say it and should be allowed to say it, and that is what makes America great, if he can't spew lies, then is there any freedom that is worth anything? It's that belief in freedom that founded America, it started us, and it keeps us going to this day. Farewell.

Well since this is the first post of my new blog, let me introduce myself. I am Pete, I'm merely a young conservative that likes to post his views on the internet because his communist teachers stifle his 1st Amendment rights in the classroom. Any comments are welcome, but i'm kind of new to the whole, internet blogging thing so I don't know how to post comments.

This'll probably be the only post that isn't dedicated to my passionate pursuit of politics.

I hope to post on this site rather often, it'll be my main political stage since I don't think my xanga readers enjoy hearing my rants.
Now I have one thing to say to all my teachers: You can shut me up in the classroom, but here it's a different story.
