To mend ties with Europe? Who needs to do that? They've already proven to be completely worthless as allies. Sure, we save them when the Nazis come marching into Paris, but when we get buildings blown up don't look to them to help. Not that they'd be a whole lot of help, (except if the terrorists forgot how to surrender, the french could help with that.)
It seems odd how angry they are over Saddam not having WMDs, you'd think that the French wouldn't need to be persuaded much, after all, the last time they asked for more proof it came marching into Paris under a Nazi flag.
The question we must ask is: why are the French and Germans so rabidly against the war? You wouldn't be too happy if someone cut off your oil supply either! Oil for Food has proven that Saddam was corrupt, it has been proven time and time again that he had dealings with France. So why do we care what they say anyway? After all, funding those that fund terrorists is like giving Bin Laden the check personally. I wonder if the French people know about what their government does behind their backs, I wonder how well they REALLY know Chirac.
